Refrigerators and freezers
With an energy-efficient refrigerator, you can save money without sacrificing style or convenience. ENERGY STAR® refrigerators use less energy and come equipped with all the modern and stylish features you rely on, including automatic ice dispenser, automatic freezer defrost, built-in ice/water dispensers, and sleek exterior design options. Chest freezers with the ENERGY STAR® are also available.

Refrigerators and freezers sold in stores are required to have the EnergyGuide label. For a comparison of current refrigerator models, click here.

Ovens and ranges
For the most energy efficiency, consider a gas model with an electronic, pilotless ignition. If you prefer cooking with electric, balance your energy use with a convection oven. Convection ovens provide even heat distribution, which saves energy by cooking food faster and at lower temperatures than regular ovens.

Dishwashers
Save hot water and electricity with an energy-efficient dishwasher. ENERGY STAR® dishwashers use less energy than other models and can provide even more savings if you skip the pre-rinse and heat-dry settings. When shopping for a newly manufactured dishwasher, use EnergyGuide labels to help you select the most energy-efficient and cost-effective model available.
